Hello Sunshine, and welcome to my blog, A Cup of Sunshine! My name is Sarah Lauren, and I am thrilled to have you here.
Who Am I?
I’m a Mental & Performance Coach for athletes living in sunny Fort Collins, Colorado. I’ve always been passionate about helping athletes during and after their athletic careers, and now feels like the perfect time to share my journey and insights with YOU!
My two biggest passions in life are sports and people, and I am thrilled that I get to work with both in my professional life. Through my experience as an athlete, years of working in and around competitive sports, and my education, I am excited to hear your story and help you achieve what you are wanting out of sport and life!
Why This Blog?
I started this blog because I believe that my insights and experiences can help others navigate their relationships with sport and life. My goal is to support as many athletes (and non-athletes!) as I can, and bring some light into your week-to-week life. I hope to create a space where you feel safe to be who you are, encourage self-discovery, provide helpful tips and tricks on navigating life, and most importantly, be helpful to you.
One of the biggest challenges that I have faced during my self-discovery journey was finding others that I could connect with and who genuinely understood what I was going through. My mission is to provide that support and encouragement for as many people as I can!
What Can You Expect?
On this blog, you’ll find posts about a variety of topics, including mental health, navigating the highs and lows within sport, overall body and health tips, relevant and inspiring sporting events, and most importantly, finding just a cup of sunshine in each of your days. I plan to post every other week with helpful and relevant information that will hopefully resonate with you. I’ll also provide journal prompts for internal reflection between posts. I am so excited to share my experiences and insights with you, so stay tuned and let me know what topics you’d like to hear more about!
A Bit More About Me
When I am not blogging or working with clients, I love being active with my friends and enjoying the outdoors. I have a recent obsession with pickleball. I love taking walks and either listening to a good podcast or chatting with family, and you can always find me outside when the sun is out! Something that I hold in high value is human connection and friendship. This is such a vital part of making life feel full! I find my community through my gym (S/O OrangeTheory Fitness), my book club (let me know if you have any book recommendations!), and through my local cornhole league.
I look forward to sharing moments from my athletic journey and hearing about yours too, as we explore the experience of transitioning from competitive sports together.
Get Involved!
Yes, YOU! I want to connect with you and hear your story. Feel free to leave comments, ask questions, or connect with me on social media.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you know you are wanted and valued here. Stay tuned for my next post, where I’ll be discussing the benefits of imagery and visualization, including some practice prompts!
Until the next sunrise,
XOXO ~ Sarah Lauren
